Nestled in the heart of Split on Ul. Majstora Jurja 11, Teak Food&Bar is a coffee shop that blends the comforting warmth of a local café with the vibrant flair of a casual dining spot. Celebrated for its eclectic menu that effortlessly bridges morning favorites with Mexican-inspired delights, Teak invites you to savor not just a meal, but a sensory experience.
Start your day with their standout breakfast options like the Avokado Tost, where creamy avocado and homemade guacamole meet perfectly scrambled eggs atop two slices of toasted bread, garnished with juicy cherry tomatoes—an ideal balance of freshness and heartiness for just €9.00. For those craving a more substantial start, the Engleski Doručak delivers a generous plate of sunny-side eggs, smoky Debrecen sausages, crispy pancetta, baked beans, and toast (€11.00), evoking a rustic European morning feast.
The all-day menu doesn’t disappoint. Indulge in the Trgana Svinjetina, a pulled pork dish served with fries, melted cheese, and mayo, which one customer fondly described as "delicious" and "worth returning for." If seafood tempts you, the Riblja Plata Teak offers a delightful trio of tempura prawns, fried squid, and local fish, expertly balancing crisp textures with savory notes (€12.00). Vegetarian and lighter options, like the Omlet Vege with mixed vegetables (€8.00) and the fresh Salata Od Lososa featuring salmon, Greek cheese, and zesty lemon, showcase the chef’s knack for vibrant flavors and thoughtful pairings.
The vibe inside Teak has recently been refreshed following renovations, creating a cozy yet lively atmosphere that's perfect for anything from a leisurely breakfast to an evening drink. Guests appreciate the mix of indoor spaces, including a rare non-smoking room that provides a comfortable retreat, as well as shaded outdoor terraces where you can soak in the mild Dalmatian sun.
Beyond the food, Teak Food&Bar excels as a stylish bar, offering an impressive selection of drinks that have earned rave reviews. Whether it’s the best Pina Colada one guest has had in years or a perfectly poured Bijela Kava latte with artistic milk foam, each sip reflects care and quality. The bar's accessibility and relaxed ambiance make it a favored spot for both locals and travelers winding down their day.
While the menu prices are reasonable, some practical notes include the card payment policy—cards are accepted only for bills over 15 euros, which is helpful to keep in mind. Still, this minor detail doesn’t overshadow the friendly and attentive service noted by many patrons.
In essence, Teak Food&Bar is more than a coffee shop—it’s an inviting destination where flavorful, inventive dishes meet a warm, community-driven atmosphere. Whether you’re stopping by for a robust breakfast, a satisfying snack, or a carefully crafted cocktail, this Split gem promises a memorable experience that keeps guests coming back time and again.

They have just renovated the place. Atmosphere is cozy. Extra points for having a non smoking room. The new food menu is great, with good prices. I tried the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. I'll definitely be back. The only issue is that they only accept card for bills over 15 euros, according to the waiter.

Amazing bar, indoor smoking area which is quite alien to us as Brits. Really helpful service, lovely staff and great beers at a good price. Would recommended. Didn’t try food though!

We had the most amazing early evening dinner, as we skipped lunch we were very hungry and tried their varied food options — French toast (all day breakfast), chicken quesadillas, and choco lava cake. Best choco lava cake served with berries and ice cream, amazing fresh French toast with fruits in layers with syrup and conserve, and quesadillas were a flavour burst. They also offer decaf coffee which is so great! But the cappuccino was very small. All fairly priced. Our server was extremely kind and very efficient. We will come back for more! Highly recommended

We came here for a drink on our last night in Split. This place is just below the apartment we stayed in. Wish we had tried sooner. Drinks were very affordable, and delicious! Best Pina Colada I had in ages. The location is very good! 10/10

Wanted to get a draft beer and coffee, this cafe had both! First we ordered a Bijela Kava which is a coffee latte. Huge quantity and nice design with the milk! Then we ordered a Tomislav Dark Draft 0.3L and a shot of Rakia. Exactly what we wanted and there are a couple places for seating. There’s two indoor areas and one covered outdoor area. Also it’s possible to pay cash or card but with card they prefer if it’s an amount of 10 EUR.

Lovely outside terrace area with shade. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is Mexican inspired with additional options like all-day breakfast. The OJ & coffee is very good, I had the avocado, scrambled eggs with toast for breakfast - eggs were nice, but the cubes of avocado were not very ripe & was quite hard. I would have expected better quality bread. It was standard slice bread (toasted) The quesadilla had a nice flavour but not much filling inside. Side salad was also good. Many people eat here, which is a good sign, so it may have just been what I ordered. Reasonably priced & I would return again to try other options on the menu.
